This Pinot Noir opens with a beautiful bouquet of violets and rose petal complimented by light undertones of dried oregano, clove, sandalwood, and vanilla, on the nose. The wine is medium bodied, with flavors of cherry, strawberry, and black tea and a silky, dry finish.
Relative to previous vintages of Black Rabbit, the 2018 Black Rabbit Red displays ripe opulent fruit flavor and lighter structure. Black cherry, plum, dried fig dominate with a spicy undercurrent of cherry bark, faint mint, and toasted oak.
The 2019 Fennwood Pinot Noir has a beautiful garnet hue. The nose offers a medley of fresh cherries and strawberries with a touch of vanilla and pepper. On the palate cherries, cranberries, and currants swirl with a touch of sweet clove and coconut. The mouthfeel is a little chalky and balanced by the bright acidity.
The 2019 Chukar Ridge Syrah offers a wonderful bouquet of redcurrant, blueberry, and vanilla. The palate has rich flavors of red plum, raspberries, and black cherries. The Syrah was Co-fermentation with Viognier to soften the tannin profile while also melding in violet aromatics.
The 2002 Merlot has dark cherry fruit and sweet oak on the nose. The palate offers notes ripe blackberry, strawberry with vanilla and black pepper undertones. The finish lingers on the palate and offers a touch of fig and dark chocolate.
Our 2019 Winemaker’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in 33% new French oak. The wine is rich and commanding, with well-structured tannins, freshly balanced acidity and a long lingering finish.
