2022 Ferryman's Choice
Columbia Valley, Washington
Ferryman’s Choice is our vehicle for small, distinctive releases that change from year to year as our winemakers highlight special varietals or blends.
Each year we create a blend from some of the most inventive and creative lots from the vintage. Inspired by the pioneering spirit of the ferryman, we selected fourteen barrels for this full-bodied Mourvedre.

Food Pairing Notes
This is the perfect wine to pair with rich dishes such as roast beef and rack of lamb.
Other Notes
The Ferryman’s Choice label is based on a 2011 painting that hangs at the Wilsonville McMenamins Pub. The title is “Boone Ferryman”, and the name “Charon” appears at the top of the original in Greek characters. The painting overlaps the ancient Greek story of Charon, the Ferryman of the River Styx, with Wilsonville history.
Alphonso Boone, a grandson of Daniel Boone, came to the Oregon Territory in the 19th Century and established a ferry service on the banks of the Willamette River at what would later be the town of Wilsonville. Here, Alphonso is depicted as a kind of Charon of the Wild West.
